This is a specially engineered material comprised of four distinct layers, the two inner layers are melt bonded with the two outer layers being spun bonded. This multilayer structure of the material offers significant improvements over standard single layer non woven materials especially in terms of it's physical strength and resilience, tear resistance being of particular importance.
The material also offers good drapeability, softness and conformability to aid packing operations
This material is suitable for sterilization by steam and ETO and is intended for use as an outer wrap for trays & baskets where tearing and other physical damage is a problem. The increased physical properties of this material will offer increased resistance to tearing and splitting during storage & use.
As standard the SMMS material will be supplied ready interleaved with our existing well proven Supadrape material in green as an inner wrap.
This material is in compliance with all relevant aspects ISO.11607-1. It also meets all requirements of EN868-2 for use as an outer wrap.
